Sub date vs. Sub no-date
I'm ready to add a 2nd Rolex to the stable. I've kicked around the idea of waiting on the new OP to come into the AD, but feel I would be disappointed if I didn't buy another sport watch. So I've made the decision to by another Sub, but now I can't decide between the date and no-date. For some reason I'm drawn to the no-date. It seems to be a little cleaner and more streamlined. I thought it may look a little better with business suits as well. I just don't want to have buyers remorse afterwards. Any thoughts?

It sounds like you prefer the look and symmetry of the Sub. I prefer the Sub to the Sub date myself. It now just comes down to if you can live without the date on your watch or not. When it comes to being seen in a suit I would say from a distance they are so similar that nobody else would notice. Only you looking at your watch dial would really notice.

Go with your gut...you seem to like the ND, so there you go. Unless there is a compelling reason you need the date.

I prefer the ND Sub. Pure diver, functional, simplistic.
If it were your one and only, then I'd get it with the date function. Really can't go wrong IMO |

Try them both on, side by side comparisons and go with your gut. There is no wrong answer just some savings potentially.
Personally I like both variations and they both get ample wrist time. |

Common problem for Sub buyers. If you're drawn to the non date version, that's the way to go. One is no better than the other. Congrats in advance!

Im on the Sub bandwagon. Dont like the cyclops, so im one of those. The choice is pretty easy for me, as I got no feelings on Hulk, on blue sub, etc. Only watch would make me reconsider my 114060 is if Rolex slimmed down Tudor Black bay case to 40mm, and made it blue bezel/gilt dial with sword hands.

I actually like the cyclops, but I would say since you already have the hulk, I would go for the SUBC No date to have more differences between your two.
I also love the clean look on it. Good luck! Both great options anyway. |

I'd go ND on this as all other subs have the date for future buys.

I had a Sub Date prior to my current ND. I prefer the clean, uncluttered dial.

Buy either. It's a mistake easily corrected if you regret it.

I went with the SubC No date for my first. I prefer it's look, and I figure I will want another submariner at some point (Hulk probably) and it will have a date.

Lets see.. you have a Sub with a date now, so why not try out the Sub without the date?

It's a win, win either way but the cleanness of the no date is what does it for me.

I have and love both... If forced to pick one, I'd pick the Sub over the Sub date... good luck!

The "no date" has the 3 C's...classic, cleaner, clutter free look that I like better. But it's not my opinion that counts. Either way, it's a great choice.

I bought a TT SubC just 2 weeks ago. No regrets. Nothing wrong with a no-date. Like stated above, choose one and if you're not happy. It's a easy fix.
Don't forget to let us know which one you choose.

Honestly with you already owning the LV, I would recommend a completely different watch all together! Check out some other brands, do some research (not doubting that you already have) you may find something unexpected from Omega, Breitling, Hublot, JLC, etc. good luck and don't rush.

SubC for me, especially since you have a date version already.

Guess I'm in the minority here, but I prefer the SubC Date. Last year, I was in the position of choosing between the Date and ND Sub, and concluded that the ND would drive me nuts. Nothing wrong with its looks, I just like to have the date function. So, I bought the SubC Date and am very happy with it. There is no right or wrong here, just personal preference. Go with what sings to you.
