Vacheron 34070 ? Help Please

I'd love to pick up a really fine relatively recently produced Thin Gold Dress watch. I would love a Patek 5196/5296, but I don't want to spend that much right now. I am looking for a white face with either rose or yellow gold.

I really like the look of the Vacheron 34070, but I don't know much about it, and I read that there are some service issues with it.

Any help or information about this model? Should I avoid it?

Any other suggestions in the $5,000 range? I am really only looking at the main brands, and a 1990s or newer model.

Not under 33mm, bigger is definitely better. I would go up to 40mm

Its a great looking watch, but I would stay away from it, there is something wrong with the design and you can't service it without breaking the watch or something like that. AP also has some old thinner gold watches that aren't too expensive. A 33 mm daydate for example if you don't mind smaller watches.

That's a very good point, I will check out some vintage AP watches. I actually have a DayDate 36mm, absolutely love it.

Are you serious???? You can't service it without breaking it??? My God what idiot designed such a watch, at the same time it's good for them, comes service time it's either repair your old one for 3K, or for 1,5K more they make you a great deal on a new one, of the course the same 5 year lifespan watch that what just murdered at service
