Most forum readers are purists. Purist view is no unauthorized mods. Plenty of authentic blackout watches available for less leaving $ for a straight Rolex. I vote no.

i love it.

if it were not quite so expensive, i would get it in an instant.

but the cost of the watch, and then the additional cost of the coating makes it unrealistic in view.

I wouldn't have a modified one but if it were an official Rolex piece, I'd be all over it like chicken pox.

Just can't see doing that to a valuable Daytona. Original has such a classic design and appearance.

I like the look. Not a fan of the base model of Rolex so I say pass. But the blackout look is nice.
