Which RG?

Hi guys, I wanted to know what you think of these 2 models, the Nautilus 5711-1R, and the 15202OR?

Both of them are gorgeous, but I am a real sucker for anything blue, and as much as the 5711 with the brown dial is a real stunner I think I may have a preference on this one for the AP, I understand that RG and brown are supposed to be the best combination, but RG and blue dial may have my preference.

It's not a watch that I might be getting anytime soon, but it is on my radar.

What would be your choice, considering if they were at the same price? The Patek is supposed to be a little more expensive than the AP but not by far.

Here are 2 pics to help you decide which one you prefer. By the way on pics from the AP site it looks very very red but as I understand in real life it's much softer and rose instead of red as like shown on pics.

Also the case back is probably more beautiful on the AP than the Patek…

Thanks for your replies

As I have not seen the 5711 in person (none of have!) I would also have to say 15205. I would worry the 5711 with that dial is going to be too monotone.

This. Plus, I think it would bring a nice change of pace to your Nautilus collection.

Both awesome, I would love either....... Maybe Nautilus given my fear of dinging AP's

5711/1R for me as you know, altho I have to see it in person to be sure, but as I have the choco DDII and love the 5980R, I think this colour combo will be fine for me, and frankly the YG Subc is by far the best looking blue dial watch I have ever come across and that includes the 5711P.

For you Arnaud maybe the 5167R and the 15202OR with your 5712 will be your ideal 3.

5711-1R in this case, it's a much more exciting version of thr 5711. As for Jumbo, it has to be stainless steel. In RG it just seems feels strange to me.

Huge Patek fan but in this exact comparison I prefer the AP. More male looking watch.

I am a patek person and I've tried the RG 15202 twice BUT i know you love your 5712 and i think the 5711 would be a bit too similar in how they feel except weight so if you want a bit of change get the AP ultra slim has very good heft to it and looks really really good.

Both are killer - I have tried them both in the metal. I think that the 5711 would be more user friendly (the second hand + a quick date set mechanism) but the 15202 with the gorgeous historic movement and the blue face would be my choice - probably 51% versus 49%. It is the iconic and orginal Genta design....

5711-1R
Don't really like this particular AP blue/gold combo, and the missing seconds hand.

Between the two, my pick would be the RG 15202. The rose gold makes blue dial really pop, this whole combination is just out of this world, it truely is a classic and elegant RO
