What Audemar is this?

This watch was sent into AP in Switzerland and had a full service, from what I was told, they weren't sure what the model was? Anyways, I was just curious what this is and if anyone has a rough idea on year.

What would be a good price for this also?

That has no real Audemars DNA in it. I imagine if you bought it you might have a real hard time ever finding a buyer if you want to sell it.

It was sent to AP and they authenticated it and even gave it a new serial and Hallmark engraving according to the seller. I saw all the paperwork and everything seems fine and I've bought tons of stuff from this guy before. He said its a 80s or 90s watch, maybe thats why?

Sorry, but I find it hard to believe they sent it to AP and AP sent a bunch of paperwork authenticating it, but didn't say what model it is.

If it were me, I'd run.

Maybe I'm wrong, I'm just going off of what my jeweler said and I don't remember it all. He sent it and I could for sure tell that all the paperwork was legit and they authenticated it.

There was $1400 in repairs and $2XX for a new AP box. He said they originally sent it to AP in Clearwater and they said that they needed to send it to their headquarters for that watch and they then shipped it off to Switzerland where they then serviced it, gave it a new hallmark engraving, serial and box all for $1650.

I've dealt with this guy many times before and the paperwork he had from AP was for sure all real, so I don't know what to think or do here.

Here are two close ups if this helps at all? I wish I would have taken some of the other side.

EDIT: I'm sure its obvious, but just incase my name being Nick throws this off, this is a Womens watch, not a mens.

I don't know how I managed to get so lucky while researching this but I literally just found the watch, then clicked it and found out that this was actually my jeweler who posted this:

Here are the pictures of the authentication, service and watch on top of the box:

I'm about to buy this for my girlfriend, I didn't see anything that said AP on it, but everything else adds up. I'm simply trying to get some input and was wondering what an acceptable amount to pay for this is. He has had the watch for 3 years and I'm just trying to make sure this is the real deal before I buy it for my girlfriend. While I was searching, I somehow came across a picture of the watch, which then led to a post that my jeweler had made at some point about the watch.

Have you got a photo of the clasp or underside of the watch.

Ya, he told me he had it on there at one point. He has been trying to sell it for 3 years and he said at this point he's just ready to part ways with it. I've bought several things from this guy and he actually showed me all the paperwork for what he's in the watch for and said he'd sell it to me for break even just to free up the money and get rid of it. Price is $7500, I just wanted to check with you guys to see what this thing is and make sure thats reasonable.

Its surprising there is no Audemars name or logo on the dial of the watch.

Nick.. That's a gift fit for a WIFE there! So sweet of you!!

Personally I do give this watch a pass.

- that box even thou is AP but that's just a "universal box' bought from AP hence do not come with the watch.. Seems like a gimmicky trick to me. Don't fall for that!

- the watch maybe comes with the AP Quartz movement.

- i ever help my neighbor to bring in her AP RO to AP services center for a overhaul, they did everything n come back with the services paper. However, they didn't touch the diamond bezel cos they said that bezel is customized hence not AP. NOTHING WAS MENTIONED ON THE SERVICES PAPER THAT THE BEZEL IS NON FACTORY. They went ahead to complete the service. AP not Rolex. Rolex will swap the aftermarket parts to the original or refuse to service the watch. Thus, even with the services paper, this AP still iffy.

- imagine your seller can't move the watch in 3 years!!! Obviously if you ever think about filpping (upgrading) in the future, GOOD LUCK n you need plenty of that too.

I personally think you better off buying her a GMT-C or a Daytona.. Looks really cool on a lady's wrist!

Call AP and discuss the watch with them.

Me personally, I would run away from that watch.

Does the watch have any identification markings on it? If it doesn't how do you even know that paper work goes with that watch? If you trust the seller and have done lots with them in the past have him put a money back guarentie on it. I know people I deal with wouldn't hesitate to do that.

You better check that your girlfriend loves it first. There's no way I'd buy it as a surprise. Women are very particular about jewellery amd watches that they will wear. If she doesn't like it you won't have a hope of selling it on if your seller who's in the business has been trying for 3 years

From what I remember, the clasp had AP on it, I didn't really inspect it and my girlfriend tried it on and loved it. At this point, she's sold on it, but I'm not. Its for a birthday present; I got her a rolex, but had to go to eBay to buy it since there wasn't a whole lot here and when I took it in, everything was aftermarket on it, so I sent it back.

Kind of torn here, since she loves it and now after reading all this, I'm very skeptical also. I trust the seller and I could tell the paperwork went to the watch, but I just found it odd AP wasn't on the dial.

Correct....and those hands (apart from everything else) don't look AP to me.

I just wanted to let everyone know that after reading what you all said here, I made my girlfriend pass on the watch. Luckily having her read this thread was enough to convince her.

Thanks guys!
