36MM Datejust or SS Daytona

This watch is for my wife and want it to be a surprise gift.

The AD said that a 36MM SS Datejust, White Gold Bezel, Pink Mother of Pearl Face with Diamond Markers would look awesome. I agree but he said he has never saw it before in a 36MM. My wife loves pink. Does anyone have pictures of a similar watch. My wife loves my SS Daytona (Black Face), so I was thinking maybe a SS Daytona (White Face). The good thing about the Daytona is that if she wants something else, the AD said he would take it back. He said the Datejust is too unique to take back.

I can't decide which watch to pick.

Any opinions

Get your wife the DJ, and get yourself that Daytona...if she wants to wear a Daytona from time to time, you have an extra laying around!

Yes I'm sure he'll be glad to take it back. Those are very very sought after watches.

My suggestion...

Let her choose. Like many of us, my wife changed her mind about which one looked best once she put them on her wrist. Why, just today she was fawning over a '71 Daytona...uh-oh.

Daytona

If you wife likes the Daytona, then get that. YOU can always get a DJ later.

Daytona first

If you have the chance to get a SS Daytona from an AD at list, I would do it, wife or no wife.

I have tried both of those on too many times before decided which will be my next Rolex (my husband has the ss 36mm, and Daytona).

to me, the Daytona is sport wearing either for man or woman with oyster bracelet. However, on the mens, it could be dressy looking also.

The datejust 36mm diamond dial should go with jubilee bracelet as always. Althought, im my opion, it does not look right on tiny wrist of a lady. Because the case is thick and big, while its jubilee is thinner. Those 2 factors do not balance out the look of the watch.

For bigger watch on woman, the oyster bracelet would fit best. Of course, if she wants and wears more sporty stuffs. Otherwise, the 31mm is the best bet, I think.

I am a very picky person on buying stuffs. It takes time for me making a decision to assure there is no mistake after purchased.

Anyway, if you have a chance of getting the Daytona at MSRP, then just do it now. And buy her the datejust later at wish.

Get both black and white Daytonas. You wear the white one, she wears the black one. Purchase the DJ some other time.
