I've been using a Jewellery cleaner and a soft brush to clean my Datejust. Is there a problem with this? I'm looking at a new GMT 2 c watch, will the ceramic bezel get damaged with this stuff?

I don't know if what you're using is a problem but I would recommend a gentle soap rather than jewelry cleaner. Most jewelry cleaners have ammonia in them and I wouldn't recommend that for any watch.

I just use a very small portion of liquid hand soap and a soft bristle tooth brush about once a week. When done I dry it with a soft rag. Actually it's an old cloth diaper that has been softened many many times by a baby's behind.

Paul, jewelry cleaner is best for cleaning your Rolex watch. In fact, most ultrasonic cleaner uses this solution. It's mild and safe, so no worries with it.

The new ceramic bezel is very scratch resistant but the coating applied to the numbers is not. Don't apply polish or try to clean the numbers on the bezel.

Jewelry cleaners are fine and will not harm any Rolex watch. As long the solution is mild. Be sure the crown is completely screwed down to the case before any kind of cleaning. Also, I would not recommend using cape cod cloths for polishing if you do use them already. Leave the polishing work to the people at the RSC.

Scrubbing bubbles works well; just keep it away from the seals. Then wipe with a Googalie cloth.

I just wear a silk cloth and a warm water a lil' bit.

Besides the weekly bath I'll wipe the watch worn that day with a soft, damp cloth.dP

Went into my AD today and asked same question. They said buy a babys toothbrush and use soapy lukewarm water. Dry with lint free cloth

I've used an old toothbrush and gel toothpaste for years. A few weeks ago I tried the liquid soap, but feel it left a dull film on the watch. Back to the gel toothpaste for me
