The GMT is a fine watch. The BLNR is just a color combo which I personally think is a swing and a miss and is flipped quite often.

The Submariner is the greatest Rolex ever made. Bar none.

Anyone who sells a Sub for a BLNR will regret it.

I posted this thought in the Omega section discussion, unfortunately Rolex Submariner and GMT's now look pretty much the same and I find the GMT BLNR a more useful watch and with the bezel a better looking watch than current Submariner. I hope the next iteration of the Submariner heads more towards it's roots with a more refined look and smaller or no crown guards. The current Sub does look like a bit of a 'clunker' next to the Omega Seamaster 300 co-axial.

I had to sit down and remember all the ones that have come and gone. It took a little while.

I haven't regretted it. I was a loyal Submariner guy for almost 15 years. Four different ones in three different versions. They are great watches with a fantastic history.

The BLNR made me open my eyes up just a bit more. The GMT line has a great history as well. It wears smaller and is more comfortable for me. As great as the Glidelock is I haven't missed it and it's been hot here too. I have an 8" wrist with a high wrist bone. I put an extra link in the bracelet and it's oh so nice.

I really can't see myself going back to a black Sub. If I were to add one it's be an LVC. Then again there are a lot of other nice divers out there also.

The BLNR is not just a color combo on its bezel but also a technology break-through, which Rolex had patented it when BLNR was issued in 2013 Beselworld. It is the only one SS GMT watch with a two-colored ceramic bezel in the world. The BLNR is the great demanding model and it is not hard to see people flip it in the grey market and the deals are done very quickly. The Sub-LVC (Hulk) is another good example. People can own both BLNR (best example of SS GMT-C model) and Hulk (best example of SS Sub-C model with the date) happily without the necessity of flipping one for the other. Anyone who sells a Sub (that is not singing to him) for the BLNR is quite normal. Why not if you have the other beloved Sub(s) at hand?

Rolex ceramic bezel has tilted the balance.
Brilliant colours and fresh.
Ditto for WG pepsi, Gmt and Blue sub.
