RSC experience and Sub Bezel advice

I wanted to share my experinece at RSC in Toronto today.

As some of you know, I renectly bought a 5513 from trusted seller greekbum I'm loving the watch but in the last couple of days I noticed that one of the spring bars was loose or broken.

I contacted RSC in Toronto and spoke to Raphael, who said just bring it on in and he'll replace it. I brought the watch in and he replaced the spring bar, (it was in fact broken).

When it came time to pay, they said no charge I felt obligated to offer something, but they insisted on providing the repair at no charge.

I certainly wasn't expecting this, especially given that the watch is 47 years old, but I was super greatful for the stellar service!

RSC Toronto is thumbs up in my books!

I just thought I'd share this great experinece with you all

You had to bring your watch to a RSC to replace a springbar?

Like, the 20mm $1 springbar you can remove with a pushpin?

That's nice to hear. It's always nice to hear the positive stories too and not always the negative ones.

I think from what I have read most stories relating to RSC are positive. I know thinks like service etc can be done cheaper in independents, and I'm all for helping the independent guy make a living, however RSC seem to not be a lot more expensive than an Indy, and the service is impeccable.

RSC in Toronto and the RSC in Ho Chi Minh City have truly been outstanding to me in every possible way!! I have 100% confidence in their services and their professionalism! They sell the brand even more than any AD I have dealt with!

The OP contacted his RSC to source a springbar.

They offered to replace it for free if he just brought it in to them.

As he would have had to visit them to buy a real Rolex springbar he did as they suggested.

At least that's how I read the post.

People need to understand the importance of using high quality spring bars, if you need a spring bar for your Rolex, go to the Rolex dealer and get original bars, I don't care how much they charge, you don't want to risk loosing the watch.

Especally when it's a vintage model with lug holes that takes the long, shoulderless bars.

Always good to hear of a positive experience, especially when the experience was free of charge!

Enjoy your 5513.

He got a genuine pair of springbars, they do the work for him and he save $2.

What did he do wrong?

I know it's an old post but I wanted to give a thumbs up to the RSC in Toronto. I love going in and they always treat their customers with respect. Great experience every time.
