Vintage Rolex. Help identify/price

Please help me identify this model and approximate value.

I think model number is 3131, there is also a 35507 inside case.

Serial number on outside of case on one side, but no model on the other side like there usually is.

Thanks,
GT

A bubbleback?... a'la Tenzing Norgay?

But the engraving on the crown... that seems odd, but then again I don't have my reference books with me here... No crown on the crown

Yes, it's a bubbleback as advised. It appears to be solid gold.

It appears to be 1940ish.

The grade of gold will influence the price. Have a close look at that hallmark on the underside of that lug, alternatively, the gold hallmarks should be engraved on the inside of the caseback.

The crown is 100% original and correct. Quite rare to still have this.

Now for some "bad" news. The dial has been redone. Unfortunately, not done well at all, and hence this will adversely effect the price.

Still a very nice watch. I quite like it.

Gotta agree with John, the dial is redone, and badly so, I would like to add... The printing looks as if a child had handwritten "ROLEX" etc. on the dial

I love the large "Brevet" type crown, though!

Haha.............Now don't hold back there Bo.

I was trying to be tactful, but yes very poorly done indeed.

Overall, a nice piece.

Additional note, since the dial is redone, I would send it to someone "professional", like Bob Ridley and get it redone properly.
