New 40mm Day Date Question

I have a silly question I guess, I have been in the market for a new Rolex; specifically the Day Date II in yellow gold. I read this week that Rolex might be phasing out the 41mm version of this watch.

My question is, does anyone know if the new watch(40mm) will have less gold than the 41mm version?

Well it is 1mm less, so my guess is yes it is technically less gold.

If you want more gold, there are plenty of 41mm DDs on the market.
