Please help me determine the authenticity!
Hi,
I'm looking to replace a damaged dial on my 1016. This is an eBay seller. Does the dial look correct? |

Is the lume at the hour markers and Arabic numerals supposed to be bordered in white gold?
I realize yours is an older reference, but it certainly seems to be so on the current model. I don't know, just asking . . . |

A technical question - maybe not the right forum but relevant to this dial - is the lume on the replacement dials still tritium?
This dial is marked tritium. I'm curious if these dials are NOS, or made later using a non-T lume, but retaining the T markings for accuracy. Other than the fingerprints, this dial certainly has aged less than the original watches. |

tritium or superluminova
I don't know. That is a good question. I certainly hope that they are tritium. Can anyone on the forum weigh in here?

Some factory service dials are marked trit but actually are lumi. I don't know about this reference though. You got some good feedback over at VRF, I'd be inclined to heed their advice.

I can't offer an opinion on it's authenticity, but it does have a couple of fingerprints on it in one photo.
