Black Bay Red with Black Bezel
I was thinking, with the similar appearance of a "Gilt Dial" how would a Bay Red look with a Black Bezel, found a pic on WatchUseek, that poster Svorkoetter photoshopped, looks really good.

I really liked that the first time I saw it (different pic, same look), and was hoping for one at Basel this year, but since settling for the red, I really like it and wouldn't want to go back to black. The red can look almost black in the evening anyway, in low light. The black is a great look, though. Way better than the SubC, IMO.

It does look good. But for me, I need that splash of red as I think I would tire with black.

That looks awesome. Probably something they should have offered

Yeah, that doesn't really work for me on quite a few levels. Sorry Lee.

Wow that does look good.
It would make it really hard to pick a BB.

I like the Midnight Blue BB, I do not see it to often on here though.

I had the blue for a bit. Went through a period recently where I almost bought it back

The blue rocks. So does the red.

I would buy the black, but then I would buy any of them. My favorite would be that photoshopped black.

The black looks cool but I prefer the Blue.
I wonder what the black dial would look like photoshopped onto the dial of the blue black bay with the silver markers and more white lume. It could be good.

It will be interesting to see what shades the BB red and blue aluminium bezel inserts fade to over the coming years, while the ceramics are staying stubbornly uniform and shiny.

I guess it didn't work for me either which is why it's not that way anymore. But frankly; it doesn't need to work for you as it's not your watch. You're free to do what you want with yours.

I prefer the original BBB, especially the dial. It's a great piece, but I much prefer the SubC. The Black Bay's are needlessly thick IMO

I normally like the BBB over the red, but with the black dial I love how the BB looks like a gilt Sub. Someone should start making black bezels for these

I wonder how a dark charcoal gray bezel would look on a gilt Black Bay. It would suggest a faded black, without any artificial age tackiness. |

And here it is (pretty much)! For one ni-, er, watch only! With better hands, IMO.

There's not that much difference between them really. The BB looks thicker because it has a flat back, but if you take into account the Sub's convex caseback, the total thickness of each is similar. The BB's flat back is also more comfortable on the wrist, IMO. It doesn't move around like the Sub.

That Tudor Black Bay with the black dial for Only Watch is so sweet. I would buy one in a heartbeat.

The red has a very unique look in my opinion and goes perfectly with the dial colors. The black is nice but just makes it blend in. Absolutely like the red better than black or the blue.
