Spoons
Did you guys get Rolex spoons when you purchased your watch? I was cleaning out my desk and found Rolex spoons. I bought my 16610 in 2005 from Bucherer in Switzerland and they gave me 3 Rolex spoons and a green travel pouch.

Hey Larry, one AD here in Oz tried to keep the green and red hang tags on a new Rolex purchase. He said that these need to go back to Rolex, to stop them being used on fakes. I told him to get stuffed, and took my cash off the table, and got up. The manager saw this, and she said, just let him have them! I subsequently spoke directly with Rolex Australia, and they said that they have not instructed nor heard of such a thing. John. |

That's hilarious! Next they'll be telling you that the box can't leave the store either.

I've never seen the spoons marked by any other dealer/distributor than Bucherer...leads me to think the spoons are just a little perk they give out. Nice touch, though.

Indeed, you are correct, Skip! Bucherer gave them away with every purchase of a Rolex watch. Definitely a nice touch!

I got 3 spoons after visiting Rolex in Zurich. Was a complementary gift after purchasing a new replacement bracelet for my Dad's SD.

I have a bunch of these---I remember I got these for free in Switzerland on a guided tour. The tour would lead you to a Bucherer in each city the tour went to, and Bucherer would give a spoon for entering the store.
