Trading 4 for 1?
Hello friends! I've been contemplating this prospective trade for several months now and it's coming down to the wire -- I need to do it or get off the pot!
Here's the dilemma, I've got a small but modest collection consisting of: 116520 Daytona (White) 216570 Explorer II (Black) 16570 Explorer II (White) My daily, 1st Rolex, and my son's heirloom, the 16610 Sub, is staying with me. I am looking to trade the top 3 listed for my drooling grail, a slightly used, 116719BLRO GMT. I'll be adding another $7700 or so on top of the 3 beauties mentioned above (which is basically 4 nice watches.) I have read about 2 for 1 deals and a couple of 3 for 1 deals, but 4 for 1? I know this is totally subjective, but would you trade what is nearly 4 excellent Rolex pieces for 1 PM GMT? I do enjoy having a GMT when traveling, and I use my sub bezel for timing things several times daily (parking, laundry, etc..) The Explorer II falls short in this regard. The 16570 white dial is stunning, but I often miss having the ability to time items on the fly. Additionally, the Chronograph of the Daytona is a bit cumbersome to me with regards to unscrewing the pushers each time I need to time an action. The 116570 is too large for me at 42mm. It will not be missed. It seems like I made up my mind, right? I guess I need to hear it from this wise and WIS community. Should I stay or I should I go? ♫♫♪♪♫♫♪ |
