Yeah that would be a problem if in some places the coating starts to wear off because of bumps or scratches and the SS becomes visible I don't think it would look great, like PVD, basically crap IMO but DLC is much better, don't know about this rubber coating and how it reacts/holds after a certain period, if this technique has been used for a while on some watches would be good to know from owners how their watches look after some time...
