New SoCal Member
Started lurking, actually more like reading and absorbing an incredible amount of useful knowledge, since November. I had just ordered an Omega Seamaster PO. I wanted a luxury watch and since I could now afford one I pulled the trigger. It would have made a bit more sense to do some homework BEFORE I pulled the trigger since I didn't know jack about watches
 . The first thing I realized after a few days of intensive study on TRF was that an Omega Seamaster was not the right watch for me. I had an Invicta Pro Diver (my first non quartz watch) for a number of years. I liked it but it was time for something more suited to my life style. I do not dive. I going sailing a bit though. Anyway I ened up refusing delivery of the PO and got a full refund (eventually). The quest for my grail watch now began....by May I knew want I wanted. So where do you think I went to get it? That's right: DavidSW.  DavidSW.  I look forward to continuing to learn more about horology here and also to contribute and share in all the fascinating horology discussions about luxury time pieces.
