7 months with 114060
Now that I live with a new SubC for 7 months, I absolutely love this watch.
As for accuracy, it gets better and better. When it was new, it was slow for 3-4 seconds per day. Recently, it is consistently fast for 2-3 seconds per week. The accuracy is excellent and it is true that a new Rolex would need time for the mechanics to settle. Maybe it is a pretty big watch, I put scratches on the bracelet in the first few weeks of ownership. I did the scotch-brite thing to remove the scratches and it looks brand new ever since. I do baby his watch. As for cleaning, I use car shampoo and a tooth brush once or twice per month. |

Seems like you double posted on this one; 114060 is a beautiful watch. For me it was a bit too top heavy so I'm sticking with my older 14060. I just got my sub back from service and so far it is tracking at <+/-1 sec/day which is perfect imho. I don't really worry about cleaning until I see a need. Congratulations on a nice watch.

Yes, it is top heavy but it matches perfectly with the bracelet. I tried on a DSSD iat the AD and it was way too thick on my wrist.
I looked at many pictures of SubC with nato and IMO, most natos look flimsy besides the chunky SubC case. |

I got one too. The subc is a tank and a great update to the 14060 imo. Some will always love the lug holes and slimmer lugs and cg. You cant go wrong with either.

What is the point of talking watches in reference numbers? Are we trying to impress each other with our secret code ?
At least if you do so, it be good to get the ref right Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Car shampoo and a scotch brite can be a dangerous combo

Not at all. I still find it hard to type in a touch-screen; hence the typo. Sorry if my typo offended you.

Even on touch screen it's hard to mistake a 1 and a 0 as they aren't close to each other, fwiw. Oh well, water under the damn. (j/k, mixed metaphor and misspelling.)

This is a Rolex forum, if you feel intimidated by Rolex reference numbers, you're in the wrong place. Especially with that attitude.

I find the SubC is a more comfortable watch to wear than the older Sub. It suits my eight-inch wrist more than the older Sub, too.

I tried 4 watches at the time of purchase; SubC, Daytona White Dial, DSSD and Datejust 41mm. I knew the SubC was the one right away when I put it on my wrist. I also like the Daytona. BTW, I have a small wrist.
I use car shampoo because I know regular dish soap could potential dry out the rubber trims of a car. I am concerned that it would do the same to the Rolex crown seal. I usually soak the whole watch in the solution for 15-20 minutes. |

Congratulations on owning a great watch. One of my favorite watches.
Personally I've been staying away from scotch-brite because I think I'll be doing it too often once I start. Scratches can be beautiful lol |

I totally agreed with you on the Sub C (114060) vs Sub (14060), Sub C matches perfectly with the whole new upgraded bracelet/clasp and ceramic bezel. But Sub C doesn't look good with nato, I wear natos 90% of the time with my 14060. I think Sub C would look good with a wider (22mm) Nato strap. |

I've got a 114060 AKA SubC and I love it too. I guess I've actually got two SubCs, since the Hulk is also a sub. Assuming that I've got the nomenclature correct. It can get confusing. So my old submariner, the 14060M, is just a Sub because it's not ceramic, is that right?
