Tried the new seadweller today... And liked it!
The furthest thing from my ish list but I really like it. Maxi dial, perfect size, not wearing as thick as it measures.... Matte dial!!!!!
I really like it. And only $10,400.00! What's not to like! |

Miss my 116600. Such a great watch. Matte dial, no cyclops, and HEV + Glidelock = perfection. Can be had for a much lower price NIB or preowned by our very own trusted sellers...

I'm sure I could find a deal but in that bracket the 1680 comes first.
Maybe a few years from now I'll grab a beat up one. I was duly impressed I have to say. |

Interesting...I did the same and it just didn't win me over. Handled that one and a subc side by side and liked the sub better. Guess it takes all different kinds, huh.

I think the new subs are slightly disproportionate. For the larger case, they need a wider bracelet. Not 22mm, but 21 would have probably been right. The lugs look to chunky and blocky to me. A bit more "shape" to them and a slightly wider bracelet would have balanced it all out nicely.
Even on the 40mm Sea Dweller, I felt it could have benefitted from some more generous top bevels to to lugs, but as it is, the SD seemed like a better overall package for me. |

Tried the SD4000 but in the end the Sub C Date won as I didn't see the need to spend the extra cash.
Stunning watch though. |

I don't know if that's the one I tried?
I tried the 40mm version (ceramic) and they also had the larger (42mm?) ceramic next to it. Other sub and black/blue ceramic GMT as well in the same case... That BLNR (or whatever it is) seems popular/hard to get but they had one there. Also the red/blue GMT but that is white gold only... Too bad because THAT watch looks killer- red GMT hand and pepsi ceramic bezel. I don't recall seeing another on here at all! Zero discounts. I asked about a bracelet and was quoted over book (which I saw)- 93150 $1275.00 "About 1300-1350 with tax and shipping". Ok. BUT, if you're desperate for the blue GMT, Lorill in Springfield, MA had one today. Might be gone tomorrow. |

Agreed. Don't like it even on a NATO SD wears the love handles better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
