Datejust 16013, case top polished or satin.
I am in the process of repolishing the case of my Datejust 16013. When i bought it the sides of the case were polished and the top of the case was a satin finish. I have seen a picture of a later model which has the top of the case polished rather than satin. Have Rolex changed the finish on later models?

You are correct, on the 16013 the edges would be polished and the top would be brushed. The same goes for the later sapphire crystal models. However, several years ago when the 116XXX series was released, the lugs are now fully polished, they are also wider and thicker overall.

Thanks for that. I will polish the 16013 lugs then decide whether to go for a satin on the lugs or not.
