Honestly I'd call around to some different AD's or check with the trusted sellers on TRF because a 3 to 6 month wait is ridiculous.

Best first choice for a rolex.

4 months? Strange as others have said.

Apparently Rolex has put ADs in Australia on a limited supply wait list as well. According to two ADs I have spoken to they are also on a wait list and the limited pieces supplied to Australia are farmed out to dealers based on their confirmed deposited orders. Maybe that's why there is no grey market for Rolex in Australia? Who knows...but after I get it in my Sub I won't care. Must admit the image of the Sub with date occasionally rolls across my small brain...what if...but then they tell me the wait for he date is 5 to 6 months! Someone somewhere is telling porky pies, but why?

Maybe locutus has hit the nail on the head: "There is time, and there is Rolex time."

4mat. I am also a new member to the forum and planned on using it to chat to more experienced Rolex owners as I plan on buying a Sub 114060 by the end of the year. Are you able to share which AD you bought from and what you paid?

If not, please PM me as I'm in research mode right now. Thanks.

Faster to fly to Tokyo (or HK, SG) and pick one up. No tax and low yen.

Yep!!!

BTW, still waiting..

Also no discounts in Perth for Rolex buyers. And boy did I try, the best I got was "we can ask Rolex for a gift along with the watch". Huh?? A hat? The latest catalogue? A pen? Or maybe...just maybe... a backup/spare Rolex Sub?

I don't think the other states are much better off either. Curious to know if anyone has been given a discount in the last 6 months from an AD for a sub.

Congratulations but I don't see that model being in short supply over this part of the world. One could just walk in and buy from any AD

Still waiting...If I am lucky someone will drop off the list and I will be bumped into this months allocated arrivals, but not looking good for this month. Rolex Grima in Melbourne tell me the problem is with overseas visitors taking advantage of the exchange on the dollar. Probably didn't help that we had to USN Carriers in port in Fremantle a few weeks back, I bet some officer somewhere is wearing my Sub. Anyway, get this, a 116610 is about 5 month wait and a GMT coloured bezel not until early Feb next year.
