The perfect pair?
I could be wrong but for the first time I think I have my perfect pair, with time this could change of course but there were very few watches I purchased that I found to be perfect, my first Rolex, 116610LN was one, wore it 2 years 24/7 and just stopped wearing it because after getting my Patek 5712 it felt really too uncomfortable, my Patek was the second, when I got a 5726 on strap I really liked it but never got to love it, maybe would have been different if I had gotten on bracelet, but no.
All which came and went, Rolex sub c LN and LV, BLNR, Daytona 116515, Panerai 233, 28, 82, Blancpain L-Evolution Alarm GMT, Patek 5726, may have forgotten one or two. So of all these only 3 felt 100% right, the sub and my Patek which I view as a sporty dress piece, and my AP as a real sports watch, I really enjoy wearing each as much as the other, thing that never happened before, always preferred one to the others and wore that one 80% of the time. Here's a few fresh pics, sorry for the quality it's iPhone 4 pics. To anyone wondering wether to get one of these two pieces, go ahead both are great watches and very cool to have and wear, both super comfy, never thought the diver would be so comfy so very surprised in a very good way. Enjoy the pics OK great can't download the pics from my iPhone, so here's some I got from the web, sorry will post real ones when I can ok in fact found some old ones of the 5712 but none of the diver, so it's 50/50, between us when you make "pro pics" of a watch you could wipe the dust and fingerprints off, found better pics but thought these looked very real |

Nice pair indeed!
I too hope I will be happy with my current pair. I really think two watches (two high end watches) is a good combination, and may work well for me.

Thanks Well for me the PP is also perfect as a sporty dress watch, but I don't consider it a sport watch, maybe for Patek yes but not for me, same with the RO, not my definition of a sport watch at all... Thanks, me too Thanks Yeah Neil, nice to have one of each size I agree, I'm much happier now than when I had around 10 at one time [QUOTE=el1125;6051418]2 great ones there! Hard to beat! Congrats.[/QUOTE Thanks EL, but you have awesome ones that clearly beat mine, but these 2 are IMO the best that can be had at this price point from 2 awesome companies, would love to add a Lange but they are a little too dressy for me, though one day would like to have the WG datograph perpetual, very dressy but so cool |
