Questionable BLNR

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROLEX-GMT-MA...3D171853854844

Font is not crisp. The engraving on rehaut looks off and the bracelet clasp is not aligned with the coronet properly.

Opinions?

Looks ok to me and seller does have good history of selling Rolex and other high end watches according to eBay history...

I sent a question to the seller about the clasp. I can't image it passing quality control at Rolex.

Questionable BLNR

Could it be something to do with the reflection? That clasp looks way off, I can't imagine it even passing QC at a fake factory!

Also the blue part of the bezel looks too metallic in the picture above. I admit that most of the pictures look like a real BLNR, but the two in the OP cause me concern.

To me that's just the reflection of the crown in the scooped area for your finger...it's the angle that almost makes that look like that is the "scooped" part for your fingernail...but in reality the scooped part is much larger than that little reflection we see...

The images look to have been optimized (developed) in Light Room or by an image effect in camera. The contrast is high and some of the reflections on the cyclops and white gold appliques are bluish. None of this is a bad thing, but it will make the blue part of the bezel look a little different than you'd expect.

What seems odd to me is not just the position and the size of the "scoop," but also that the reflection seems to be wrong relative the apparent light source.

So, I guess what we see in these pictures are optical illusions and artifacts from digital enhancements.

I just thought I'd ask.

Thanks.

something about the perpetual text seems wrong. But I could be over-scrutinizing.

Finally, I can see the actual "scoop" of the latch and the reflections relative to that. I'm not sure but it may be more visible as I'm looking at the screen in a dark room with no light coming from behind me, as is often the case when I have the shades behind me partially open.

I guess with that, we can declare the case closed.

The watch is real, scoop on clasp is just the way the shadow reflection shows only one half of it making it look like its off

The minute hand is blocking the "Oyst.." Part of the "Oyster Perpetual". Giving another optical illusion.

Yeah thanks for pointing this out - prompted me to look at the original eBay pics, which seem fine
