First Pam - coming up....
so we went to the city today, and ended up (who knew?) at a panerai dealer, and started looking at watches.
we found one my wife and i both liked, and then left for dinner. i of course couldnt buy it since i am on a moratorium for at least 6 months from buying any more watches.... but since my birthday is coming up in about two months, my wife decided she wanted to get me that watch!! so after dinner we went back and bought it. trouble is, i dont get it for almost two months!!! so no pics until then, and technically i dont even know its coming (pssssst - its a 112, and it looked GREAT on my wrist!! Dont tell her i said anything; its supposed to be a surprise). |

Congratulations. (In a couple of months.) After getting a 213 I think I want a 112 or a 176. Beautiful watches either way.

Congrats, but I'm a little sad you have to keep it locked up for a couple of months
The time will pass quickly and it will be an awesome feeling to unbox it on your birthday

Excellent choice Mark. I tried on a 112 at a local AD and really liked it.
Here's wishing the time flies by for you so you can strap that puppy on! |

Mark... Let the wife know that holding a watch for any longer than 4 days from it's rightful ( and eventual ) owner can be construed as Domestic Abuse in the State of California. I would hate to see your lovely wife spend any time in jail.... ()

I couldn't wait.
Can't you come up with an excuse to send her packing across the county for a few days? Wouldn't she like to see her parents or maybe an old friend? Then you could at least sneak the watch out of the closet and play with it for a while You've got more willpower than me, my friend.

but....i still wont touch it until its time. my style is simple; i said i wouldnt and i wont. but that said, if someone mails me something for my b'day, i wont open it until its time. just always something i have done to keep the day special. she always has trouble getting me stuff i like, so when we saw this and she knew i liked/wanted it, it made sense to buy it early. normally she would have gone back later when i wasnt there, but i guess she had seen how poor the selection had been at the two AD's we visited and was afraid it would be sold (and the sales guy helped that perception as best he could...) its only 7.5 weeks away.... and that gives me time to order a strap or two!! |
