If I ever get my hands on a Patek, it is very likely I would keep it and keep pushing for the smurf. Save more!

It is indeed a blue.

I wore mine today on a suit, and I really couldn't stop staring at it. The 5711 will stay. I just need to stay away from WG Sub enablers, as I have to be patient till I can pull the trigger on it. I still think the BLNR makes for a perfect trio with the 5711 and smurf, and no need to flip the BLNR. Thanks all! |

Keep the PP and save for the 619! If you find you don't wear the PP after buying the smurph then flip it for a 528/9 or 718/9!

We all knew he had the blue but if he had the white dial then there would have been a lot more of a chorus to flip for the blue Smurf. However that guy didn't read the post and just said buy, but when you called him out I still had to give him props for countering.

I have a feeling that I should limit myself to reading only other subforums.

Keep the PP. Its amazing because of the finish, design and the house. The Rolex is special in its material and the quality of Rolex. I love the finish of the PP so i would never Flip it for a WGsub

You have the 5711 in blue!! That should be a keeper, without question, just because it's not that easy to get--and it's an understated beauty in SS. Mesmerizing.
You said that you don't want to flip the GMT. That's your decision, which I respect. In that case I guess you figured by now that you'll have to save up for the Smurf. And I assume the Smurf would be easier to get at some point, than another 5711 in the future. In my humble eyes the GMT and Smurf are somewhat similar looking, you know, that "Rolex sporty look". Whereas the 5711 and either the GMT or Smurf combination would give you some variety. The trio would be even better. |
