Panerai 233 or Datejust 2

I will post this on the Rolex Forum as well. Considering another watch and on my wish list (apart from the pm models) are pan 233 or the Datejust Ii fluted black dial white stick markers.

My current collection which i will not be getting rid of any consists of a Rolex DSSD, Rolex gmt master 2c Ln, and a Rolex Sub 16610

I am sure i will eventually get both in the collection at some point but which would you go for first? I am guessing as this is the Panerai forum most will say the 233.

Given your collection, there is zero hesitation: 233 for diversity. It's an awesome watch!

I would prefer the 233 a year a ago. Looking at Panerai now just disapoints me how second hand market is dying.
After a while everyone has to think of selling/trading his watch. Rolex's are forever, IMO Panerai's star is dying. Specially after SIHH 2015

I've had both and not even close: 233. Ignore anybody on the Rolex subforum who says otherwise.

I agree that PAM 2nd hand market has softened. at least in my experience. But I'd pick a 233 over the DJ2. Against a SubC, 216570 Exp2, or Gmt2c would be a tougher choice.
