116613LB dial misprint ?
I am thinking about upgrading my mid 90's 16613 blue to a new 116613LB. While searching around, I decided to go onto Rolex's website and download their e-brochure. As I was scanning through the various pages I discovered that printed on the dial, the word CERTIFIED was spelled "CERTIFIFD".... I'm not sure why but thought it to be interesting.

interesting
their pictures are heavily photoshopped i wonder if the real dial is misprinted or if they just made an error while editing |

It happens. A couple of years ago Panerai advertised a watch made of Stainless Steeel.

It is a rare variant so valuable that the Comex Subs look cheap in comparison.
(It seems more likely to be a defective E, but it is hard to understand how it got by proofs of the ad.) |

A simple print defect nothing more I remember quite a few years back think it was around 2000.A few watches were upside down plus there was a price rise but was showing the old retail prices they were soon withdrawn.

It's more likely a brochure misprint since they photoshop out imperfections and not a dial misprint.

Not as unusual as you may think. I've spotted similar photoshop errors on AP website.

Good eye for detail you have,
They may have cloned the text in photoshop and not noticed. They see the text all the time so they never read it. |

can this be like highly collectible watch or something? like if there was an error print on a money, it would be worth a bit more in value?
