Is this a Genuine Tudor 9411/0?

Hi Guys, I'm writing because I got this Tudor 9411/0 a few days back and I sent it to my watchmaker

The movement is a 25 Jewels ETA 2783. Rolex confirmed that the 2783 or 2784 ETA movements are accepted on 9411 Series

My watchmaker says that the movement is legit and has all the proper details and markings of a Genuine Tudor movement but has concerns on some parts like the Crown, Bezel Insert, Hands, Crystal Retaining Ring and the fonts of the Serial, Model and "Stainless Steel"

I asked him some pictures to see if I could get to something before letting him know how are we going to proceed with is watch

Many thanks

I don't like the wear pattern in the serial and reference number areas. A lot of dents and no bracelet scarring? Even if it had a strap since day 1 the spring bar area would be protected from impacts.

Awaiting more photos...

Oh and the mainplate should be stamped Tudor under the dial.

With a watch where the watchmaker is uncertain, and you want to be certain, then send it in to Service Center. Otherwise he, you and we will be guessing what's what. Just my 2¢

The mainplate has the Tudor stamp

Rolex won't service this watch

I sent another Tudor 94110 to RSC in Dallas (Which is the only RSC in USA that service Tudor) and they return it to me saying that they no longer service vintage Tudors

Note: I called the both RSC in California and NY. The first said they only service "walk ins" watches and the second said they do not service Tudor

I didn't notice that it doesn't have bracelet scaring!!! That says a lot. Maybe the genuine case was extremely damaged so it was replaced with an aftermarket

More pictures

Hi guys, here are more pictures:

Notice the writing on the movement. It says "25 Rubis..." instead of "25Rubies..."

Generally speaking, there is a lot I do not like about this

Dial, unsure

Hand and insert no good - seconds hand diamond is too far out. Crown, don't like,

Case: I don't like the crown guards

Caseback - a lot of fakes have the CRS:
My 1979:

Underside of the crown guards should look like this:

I don't like the crown guards on this. I don't like the engravings on it either. Fonts are wrong. There is something wrong with it that I am not going to out in public - pm me if you want more info

I am fairly confident the case is fake.

There is no bracelet wear on the back of the lugs.

Besides the hands being garbage along with the insert.

And what does the outside of the case back look like? I haven't seen a picture of that yet but I probably don't need to...

Dial is not genuine either.

Pretty much only a good movement. I would give it back to the seller and tell him to enjoy it.

Information on the watch

I'll write some about the watch:

Got it on eBay from a seller in UK. As soon as I received it, I sent it to my watchmaker (I usually send my watches to Rolex in Dallas but they no longer service Vintage Tudors or that's what they told me when I sent my other 94110). My watchmaker told me he didn't like the watch at all so I open a claim on eBay for a return and the seller was no longer an eBay member. eBay made the refund and a couple of days latter I received an email from the seller asking for the watch back and threatening me to go to the police in UK if I don't return the watch. I called eBay and the told me not to return it but to take it to the police so I could have some paperwork about the case

Some things that I found weird with this watch comparing with online pictures (besides all the mentioned above):
- In the case back it's missing the dots after the S and the A in "Montres Tudor S.A."
- The markings on the crown in the inner side of the teeth are slightly visible
- The "25 Rubis Geneve Swiss" on the movement. "Rubis" and "Geneve" are written in French and "Swiss" is written in English
- The movement says ETA 2783 and has all the Tudor sings and symbols. I know both 2783 and 2784 are the approved movements for the 9411. May the movement be genuine? If it may be, why "Rubis"?

Thanks guys

Do what ebay tells you to do not to risk the refund you already got. I do not know what you are supposed to do with a counterfeit object you received. It might be illegal for you to send it back! So go to the police as ebay requested you to do. Inform the seller that you have a case with the local police concerning the counterfeit watch. He is most likely very upset since he is out of counterfeit watch and money!

Asking for you money back was the right decision.

Good that you sent it back and got a refund!
Mind sharing who the seller was? I guess at this point it is clear that something (if not everything!) is off with this watch.

Thanks!

I still haven't sent it back. I'll go to the police this week

The seller's name on eBay was: ‏(4-rolex‏) from Gloucestershire, UK
This account was closed after the transaction

My bad, but I'm glad you got a refund
Keep us updated on the reaction of the seller please.
If he really believed it to be original, he should be very upset now...

Good luck!
