is this datejust real?
Im hoping to purchase this 16233 datejust - other than the fact it is pretty worn, is it real?
These are the only pics i currently have and i believe it is a 1990 model (E serial). Looks ok with my limited knowledge. Thanks in advance |

That is NOT a 1990 model.
Doesn't look good at all. |

It looks OK to me actually, just overpolished. The lugs and outer bracelet links should be brushed, not polished.

It's real... just someone decided to high polish the parts that are normally satin finish. If you try and polish it back to normal the case and bracelet might be a little bit less robust than normal but overall a real watch...

Watch looks ok but polished way too far. If you're looking for a beater, why not. Hope the price starts with 1 or 2.

To those that said this is OK, no offense but OPEN your eyes to more than what blinders allow you to see.
I got this from OP via PM. Does it look like the same watch? Does original really look like an over polished 1990's watch to you? Do you see it as a 1990's case? If yes to all, need remedial class. http://www.arnoldjewelers.com/pre-ow...del-16233.html OP, Sorry for posting link but imperative given comments to date. |

Thats fine @123blueface.
It was a no go in the end... Too many problems and the seller wasn't particularly receptive to any offers. I PMed 123blueface and he helped out a lot! Thanks buddy :) |

All the best intentions. Keep searching and frankly, reach out to trusted vendors, they will get it for you at an awesome price and no worries. |
