I could have written this post!! I bought that exact spec.
This was me one month ago. I am 45 and similar height and build to you. I fully expected to walk out with the 26mm as its more in keeping my with my build and aesthetic. However the minute I tried on the 31mm I knew it was the one. I am not a lover of huge watches on anyone, least of all me!! I just felt that it was the correct size, neither too large nor too small. My husband even commented that with the 26mm he felt the face was to busy but the 31mm looked the like Rolex on me. Another thing to note. I found the 26mm difficult to read. It's an age thing!! Good luck. You can't wrong. |

Personally, I think the 26" for a petite female fits beautifully... is understated, and works well as jewelry rather than a larger and more bold watch.

Why do people have to ask what others like? Buy whatever she wants. My wife is in great physical shape, has very small wrist and loves her 26mm. I tried talking her into a Daytona but she said it was too large. Too bad the Daytona looks too small on me.
Even with her 26mm I had to take most of the removable links out just to make it fit her.

I'd go with the 31mm. My wife is petite (5', 100lbs) and her 26mm DateJust looks small on her. We both like the 31mm.

Go with the 31, they both look good on your wrist. If it was a dress only then I would say get the 26 but for all around, the 31 is perfect on you!

I would also recommend the 31mm size. While both look nice on you, I think the 31mm will look a little more modern and from a practicality perspective, will be easier to read the time at a glance.
FWIW, I switched back and forth between two 26mm for years and recently upgraded to the 36mm size. I know that the 36mm size is not the look you're going for, but I love the larger size on me. I am also 5'3" and have a 5.5" wrist. |

I think on this forum, from history I have read, folks will go with the 31mm.
But that advice will come from mostly men. I think you need a woman's advice. If you were to ask my wife, who very closely fits your description of yourself, she owns the 26mm and absolutely loves it, and will never consider anything any larger. While the 31mm is a more modern fit, the 26mm is an absolute classy looking watch on a woman, for any occasion. |

No wrong answer here but I prefer the 26 especially on petite women. Just looks better to me. Buy what looks best to YOU. Congrats in advance.

It really depends on your wrist size and how the watch sits on your "bone" (wrist).
I have a friend who is around 1.71m tall, a medium "boned-size" lady and 31mm looks strangely big on her whereas 26mm looks nice. On the other hand, I know of one colleague who fits your description and she looks really good on 31mm.... so there you have it. all boils down to yourself... my vote...?? 31mm |
