First Rolex - Can't Decide

Hey Guys,

I've narrowed my search down to these two beauties for my first Rolex.
I wear mostly blue and brown, occasionally will wear a suit.

Which should I go with? Are these ok for a first Rolex?

HELP!!!!

Many Thanks :)

Try them both on and get what you like. Any Rolex is a great first Rolex, good luck!

If you MUST pick from those two, based on the colors you say you wear, the DJ will be a better fit for your wardrobe.

Based on blues and reds: Consider looking into a 116710LV Hulk (split complimentary) or a 16710 Pepsi (complimentary).

DJ2..
More of a dress watch imho.
Sub more of a sports watch.

Only my opinion..

Maybe get the Sub at a later date

Two fantastic choices there...I can see your dilemma. Love these two.

My thought is the sub is a better all rounder...they both dress up or down, but to me, the sub is better in the casual environment. Good luck with your decision!

if you are wedded to two tone models then the bluesy sub would be my choice. Two tone model are a little more blingy that SS models so also bear that in mind.

Have you considered a BLNR GMT - gives you a splash of colour and pcls so can be dressed up and down very well

DJ2. I think that's potentially the nicest, most versatile watch they've got.

Can be dressed up. Casual. Sport. Playful.

I flipped it. But someday I'll have it back again.

I absolutely love that watch.

I think any Rolex is a good first Rolex so long as you like it.

Of those, I like the Sub better. That's just my personal taste.

I recently had a Wimbledon like that. It is an awesome piece, that would be my choice.
Bluesy is too flashy in my opinion, but obviously YMMV.

I love the bluesy, but its loud so IMO shouldn't be your only watch. It's my next, but I have two steel watches already. I think for your first it should be either the DJ2 or the TT Black Sub. These are more appropriate for work dress.

DJ for sure. But if I were you, I would wait a year and see if Rolex releases the anticipated DJ40 for Basel 2016.
