DSSD vs DSSD d-dail

Can someone explain this to me, there is so much negativity about the DSSD. To much text on dial, bracelet tapers to much. Its too tall and on and on....Then the D-dial comes out with a lime green text and an ombre dial, and everyone loves it.

The explanation is simple. The haters ran out of energy hating on the DSSD.

Or the haters went out to try the watch themselves. In person its pretty stunning. Yea it is a beast of a watch, but its that big for a technical reason.

Yes, heard it all as well. I was skeptical. I tried on a DSSD Black dial probably 2 years ago and, for me, it didn't sing for me for the reasons you mention others have said. I even talked a friend into getting the RubberB for his DSSD black because I thought the bracelet tapered to much. I also thought the dial looked a little smallish in such a meaty watch. I went away thinking, decision made, I'd get the new GMT Master IIc when I'm ready to pull the trigger.

Then I saw and tried on a D-Dial and WOW!! I can't tell you why exactly but somehow the dial changed everything for me.

I've only owned and worn the D-Dial for only two weeks now. So, my user experience is limited. My thoughts, at this time, are that it isn't to tall, I NEVER focus or think about the text just the beauty/time, and believe it or not the bracelet is fine. Assuming you have the wrist for it, like people say if it is sized correctly (I still have the diver extension on) it fits great. I LOVE this watch.

I've only had mine for a little over a week. The dial is amazing I will say. It's also a very unique watch. It is very big. I would recommend trying one on. I have a 7.5 inch wrist and feel it fits me well. I never had any interest in one until I saw one in person at the AD. I stopped in the AD with my wife to have her ring sized and the GM pulled me aside to see it. That was it! I was an owner!

They are both great, but the DS is just a little more 'special'
