Rolex BLNR Clasp Inside

Hi guys,

Ill be picking my new BLNR up soon but when viewing it yesterday i did notice something that i haven't seen before.
The inside of the clasp where it says ROLEX with the scroll around it was all polished and wasn't a sand blasted with black rolex text. It was the brand new 2015 model so not sure if its a design update. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this ?

Cheers,

I've seen two different variations. One of them is sand blasted and the other is a polished version. Both authentic...

My BLNR is dated March 2015 and is sand blasted.

Been discussed before, yours sounds like the "newer" finish. Here's a link. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...w+clasp+finish

Congratulations on the new GMT, how about a pic of that bad boy!

Of course these are purchase dates which is different than assembly/build dates.
I bought mine new in a coffin which had just arrived to the AD in June 2015, I was the first person to to touch it as I requested when I ordered it, it is polished.

Mine was the exact situation as yours. Brand new in the coffin... Had just come in the shipment that day!

You're definitely right about production vs sell dates, however I will say that this particular reference doesn't seem to be sitting around on the shelf for any amount of time...
