Over-polished cases, dirt on the dial etc. Before you make ignorant statements you should really do a little homework first!

No. The Rolex feds will send a special forces spec op group of large men with Swiss accents to your house. They will remove every item that looks like Rolex proprietary manufacturing. They with wreck your house burn your car and punch your grandmother in the face.

You will be placed on a blacklist and never allowed to own Rolex again. You will be required on pain of death to wear an Invicta.

I said there are exceptions to the rule, Rik could be one of them.
I also said that ADs with certified watchmakers have parts accounts.
Plus how how can you generilize that this guy Rik does a better job? What is your standard scorecard and data to back that up??? Complaints on TRF??
Well thats a good sample size to draw a statistical inference about total population
Rick does 1/1000000 volume of what RSC does
Have you ever heard of statistical process control and that process errors can and do occur.

Plus, how do you know where Rik gets his parts?? Did he tell you that he gets them directly from Rolex???
Why would ROlex sell parts to independent watchmakers?? So they can take business away from RSC???
That would be brilliant strategy
I had RSC service done three times. It was flawless and i know everything was done with highest standards and original parts. I eliminated any doubt.

I take offense to the word "retarded". I'm not usually in the PC camp but that's one adjective I object to. Aside from that, it was uncalled for.

Why did you ban the dude... I just got some popcorn :-)

As somebody stated above, many independents have Rolex accounts and Rolex tools. In fact, Rolex is known to subsidize watchmaking schools and thus it promotes the art of watchmaking and the maintenance associated with it. Look for the CW21 watchmaker near you.

Absolutely Adam!! They have always happily serviced anything I have brought them regardless of where I purchased it. In fact they never ask or care.

I had to have my bezel replaced on my 116610lv under warranty, purchased from DavidSW. Just make sure the warranty is active and the watch isn't gray. I don't think he sells "gray" watches but doesn't hurt to confirm with David that warranty work will be no issue. If there's anything unusual about the warranty status, he will be forthcoming about it.

I think what he's saying is it under warranty even though he did not buy it from an AD

Why people think Independents can not provide as good of a service or better than RSC always baffles me. Most independent watch guys have decades of experience. With RSC you have know clue who is wrenching on your watch. If you spend time on this forum it's really easy to learn who you can trust to send your watch too for service other than RSC. A lot of them are even participating members on here who really care and value there TRF reputation. That is good enough for me.
