Anything can be faked. They can also put a genuine box and booklet with a fake Rolex.

There are fakes of nearly every Rolex item, unfortunately. I hope you didn't get ripped off.

I've seen boxes and bookelts faked, but I have not seen a good copy of a fake papers yet.

Bo has pointed out that the card cert is harder to duplicate due to the hologram that can only be seen by uv light.

Does anyone know of a site that sells portable uv light torches etc that can be used to view the card's hologram?

Here's the Credit Card Certificate, first seen under normal light and after that under UV light:

It is MUCH easier to fake a piece of paper (yes even the new CC style) and box than to copy an entire watch. To me, they are no sign of authenticity, but are nice to have for the right watch.

I've seen fake papers on ebay UK for sale and also in the street. They are pretty poor but would fool someone who does'nt know any differently.

Fake inner and outer boxes are also quite common to see.

Keep it real and only buy from an AD of an excellent grey dealer with a really good reputation. It may cost abit more but its well worth the peice of mind......Thats my advice for what its worth

I saw a Sub here for sale with fake boxes and papers... US$500. Box looks like the real thing. Was tempted to buy it.... but.... it is still US$500. Some cheaper ones come with fake boxes and papers... and they look as fake as they are. Hell I even saw a small cheap plastic red box that says Rolex on it.

I got scammed a couple years back with an EXP II... BNIB came with box..papers and I knew it was fake right away! Box was cheap and the paper was glossy and ugly. Got my money back :)
