AP 15400 Water Resistance
Hi just curious how the WR holds up for current owners. Do you swim with your 15400? Or would you ever? I am a little surprised that it is only 50m with a screw down crown. Many other brands provide for 200m with a screw down crown and sapphire case back. I hope to see this watch in my future and while I do not plan to go diving with it I would like to know it could withstand a gentle dip in a pool? Many thanks for your comments.

Yes, I'm sure with the depth rating you could swim with it. I wouldn't swim with mine just because I wouldn't want to put myself in a position where I could hurt or scratch it even with a very low probability. If swimming, I normally leave my watch at home.

Swam in a Pool with it and Hot Tubbed.... Has not missed a beat.... Although the WR is not meant for diving, the RO is pretty watertight....
For a great real piece of reading on the RO and how well built these things are, google "Making a Case for The Royal Oak." It's an article that ran a few years ago over on Timezone. |

I use to take a shower everyday with my 15300, swam once in it but i wouldn't recommend it as i think of it accidents do happen and the last accident you want is happening to a royal oak

You certainly can. But it's meant to be an elegant piece. I'd leave it off.
