Pelagos in the Australian sun

Since the blue Pelagos was released this year I knew I had to get one. When I first started taking an interest in watches a few years ago I came across the snowflake hand and was hooked. I went to an AD in Sydney last week expecting to be told to join the queue for the blue Pelagos but luckily for me they had one in stock. Five minutes later it was mine.

I resisted temptation to open it until today and took some pics in the sunshine (5th day of summer here in Aus and I haven't been disappointed yet). The blue to me doesn't replicate the many shots online where the blue really pops - nevertheless it's still an awesome hue and the lume is incredible. I also fall in the camp of liking the novel on the dial.

The band is comfortable but nothing can replicate the oyster! Also considering putting a blue isofrane on it but might try the blue rubber band that comes with the watch first.

Now to get the Air-King serviced and start saving for the BLNR. This hobby is all consuming!

Apologies to all the photographers out there - the shots were taken on my iPhone.

Congrats!
I have had my blue Pelagos for almost a month since it was firstly shipped to the local AD in Taiwan on Nov. 6. It is really a gorgeous watch, which now shares my wrist time with the BLNR that I bought in June 2014.

Sitting on the couch looking over the harbour just watched a cruise ship leave, certainly a great day to be in Sydney. Watch looks great and welcome to TRF, you need to come along to one of our get togethers, we have been slack this year our last one was January, expect the next one will be january again.

Nice touch having the picture upside down to represent our position on the globe.......

Looking over the harbour is one of the best views in the world in my opinion. Would be good to attend the get together Zama.

Very jealous of the gorgeous watch and that you're in Sydney on a summer day. Love and miss that city. Enjoy both and congrats on the Pelagos!

Welcome and great Tudor! Saw this one in a local AD recently and it really does pop.

Agreed. Now that I have it, I am a fan of the War & Peace dial.

Great watch and pictures! How you were able to hold off opening it as soon as you got it is beyond me! I have no where near that sort of restraint!
