Thanks~ I really like the dial pattern on yours but haven't seen it very often. Do you know if there is a name for that dial? Very classy

Gold watches are typically expensive thus why people "hate" on Gold. Most can't afford a real full Gold watch ...period. Gold Watches are more popular now than ever. Wear what you like and who gives a FU@% what other people think. I could give a care less. I have many Rolexes and Like my Explorer II in Stainless which is my daily wearer I also rock my all Gold GMT / Sky Dweller regularly and I am not an "old man."

If your earlier paragraph wasn't intended to be insulting you should learn how to write as well as learn how to extrapolate meanings and origins in language.

Since you seem intent on criticizing and started this discussion by attacking my input to someone else it seem bizarre that you'd try to distract from the discussion you created.

Lol ok

TT threads never die.

This should be Bond's next film title.

My son graduates college in December at 23 years of age with a Physics / Astrophysics degree. I'm giving him my X serial number 16613. It was as close as I could get to a watch born the same time as him. It'll look terrific on him.

Two tone watches are definitely personal preference. I feel they were really popular 20-30 years ago and have become less popular in recent times with more people preferring white metal (SS, WG and Plat). I personally would not wear one myself, but if you like it and can rock it, then good for you! I have YG and RG watches and I think they are more appropriate with my attire than a TT.

My parents bought me a TT datejust with a black jubilee dial. My mum said its young cause its "two colours". Very thankful for the gift, but it sits in the safe until im much more senior in years.
with that said though, there are many TT sport watches i would wear. The TT blue sub comes to mind right away.

Honest answer is buy what you like!

Personally the only tt Rolex I'd buy would be a dj, as I think tt subs are a little over the top (meant to be a tool watch after all) but I like said that's just me 😊

I suppose one could look at tt, especially on the jubilee bracelet as older and dated. But when something is done right & has a bit of age on it, I'd call it a classic.
Tt datejust with Romans and GMTs on jubilee bracelets just nail it. Cool and the right amount of sizzle. Think Sinatra or Ike. No boys need apply.

I owned a TT Bluesy before my Smurf, and it was anything "but" an old man's watch.

If anything, it would make an old man look younger and cooler

I would say it's a matter of preference.

My first was a 1999 Datejust TT at age 29.

Now I have a TT GMT (you can do the math to determine my age).

I also have a stainless DJ II and Exp II, so a little variety.

Love the TT's. It's all about how you wear it, imho. If you're dressed in a polyester suit with huge lapels, probably not a good look. Worn with more casual attire, I reckon they're great.

No. I think there are many both younger and older people who have both ss and tt, and also watches made of precious metal.
