Real or not 16710

Is this watch authentic and what's a fair price. I was offered it at 4k.

Is that the only picture you have? Usually if the price seems too good to be true.......

Real or not 16710

Looks ok from that one pic

Edit: and yes, if indeed real, that's a good deal.

Man it's really really hard to make an authentication call on one poor photo. Need really clear pics from lots of angles to have confidence....

Isn't 16710 a GMT-Master II? On that dial it says only GMT-Master which is supposed to be 1675/16700/16750. Also the fonts on the bezel look off to me but I could be wrong.

I think it's weird that all of your posts are only about watches being real or fake.

Why is it weird? If he is on a search for items whether it be parts for a watch he owns (bezels) or looking for a good deal on a timepiece, hasn't this forum been created for such purpose? There are members that do not have the same amount of expertise as the many members on the forum and general questions are often lambasted by the "experts". I feel that many members are here to solve the next crime of the century by exposing scammers. AND I understand that this frequently occurs, but whatever happened to giving people the benefit of the doubt rather than automatically pointing the finger and insinuating acts of potential fraud? My .02

I see your point however, I didn't point a finger to anyone. It seems as though you might be jumping to conclusions. I just mentioned that I felt as though it was weird that his posts were only about authentic/fake watches.

Was there 16710 variation dials without the "II" in the GMT-Master text?

Sorry for the late reply. I requested more pics, but the person hasn't send them. And no, I'm not trying to scam anyone, if a deal is too good to be true, I would like an expert opinion. As in this case I still didn't receive additional pictures. Feel free to check my references on eBay under Watchesnstuff4u

Whatever it is, it's not a 16710.

The more I look at this photo, in spite of being far from an expert, there are so many things that look way wrong on this piece to me.
Dial, bezel (for more than one reason), case, hands.

I don't think seller will be providing any better photos on this.

I'm also not expecting any other pictures, since it's been a couple of weeks without any reply from seller. Thanks for your help.

The question of the GMT and the GMT II is what I am learning about now. I won a case on eBay. Its a 1999 GMT case. It's case number is 16700. Which is a GMT. The 16710 and variations are GMT II. The bezel's are identical and you can swap out the inserts, black, coke, pepsi. Hope that helps.
