Secondly, at its price point, I find it quite expensive for an ETA movement. If it were fitted with an in-house Tudor, I would have had one already.

I've extensively read a lot of reviews and have been enjoying and quite excited with all your post here, but would appreciate your thoughts on this or maybe some other information that I have not considered to finally grab one for myself.

I have both the SubC and BBN. BBN gets more wrist time. And it's been on par with accuracy (maybe 1 s/d faster than the SubC). Build quality - at least my BBN bezel lines up perfectly.

Can I ask you , 'is that normal with subc?'
I have both of those models (but bbb) you mentioned and while bbb bezel lines up spot on, the subc counterpart is off by half an increment. My mate thinks I'm crazy to even notice it but it's there!

I too have a BBN and a sub, but mine is a 14060M and the bezel doesn't line up straight either, compared to my Tudor , my black bay just feels better made piece in my opinion !

That's more about quality control than build quality, but my BB gets a lot more wrist time than my Sub too. A lot more. And it keeps better time (for now anyway).

Curious for those that own a Black Bay and a Sub, and your Black Bay gets more wrist time, why do you think that is?

I have a Sub that I wear on my own time and am considering a Black Bay as a nice work watch. I'm also considering a Polar EXPII since I already have the Sub, but the black dial is more universal for me at work. Each have their benefits but I'm just curious why one would wear their Black Bay more than the Sub (it's an honest question with no undertone, while the Rolex is more expensive and has an in-house movement I view them as equals in my own eyes each with its own pros and cons).

For me, I think it's because the BB wears more comfortable (with the flat caseback), and the gilt dial with chapter ring on the matt background is more appealing to me. It keeps better time than my Sub, too. Also, if I'm totally honest, I don't shudder every time I knock it against something hard, which tends to be the case with my Sub, which I intend to sell someday. The more beat up it gets, the better it looks (within reason, of course).

I have a friend with a BBR and a SubC and the wears his BBR much more, citing the same things about the cost vs knock-around-ability.

I don't differentiate much once I'm into Tudor/Rolex money so I'm not sure that's a benefit to me (truth be told I'm just as mindful with a $500 as I am with a $5000 one) but comfort is another case all together. My 14060 is the most comfortable watch I own to wear on bracelet, so if the BBN could rival that then that's saying something to me.

There is something special about the BB, I own a few Rolex including a Sub... And my BB get most wrist time out of my sport watches. Definitely very comfortable and there is a rugged feel that this watch is made not to baby it.. But just wear it under all circumstances....love it!

Ouch, I'm not so sure how good that jubilee looks on the BB. That gap, especially on the wrist might look pretty heinous. Personally I wouldn't put it on mine.

After being a Rolex only guy for over 30 years I'm baffled that Tudor has dominated my wrist for the last year. I was at a basketball game last night, tight seating, I'd noticed a guy to my left, in front of me, look over his shoulder at me a few times. At halftime he turned around and said "That's a great looking watch, tell me about it". Had my BBR on. That has never happened with my Sub. I love my Sub but I seem to grab the BBR and Ranger much more often.

Great question: for me it's about the vintage simplicity of the case with its unprotected big crown. It is Very easy to read. Tudor knew what they were doing when they came up with the snow flake hour hand. It's the color of the bezel, gilt dial and the amazing rose colored hands that simply light up when the sun hits them right. And even though I respect all my watches the same, there is something comforting about wearing a watch that is well less than half the price of a Sub. I am also blessed to have a Heritage Chrono Blue, another amazing watch. I simply love my Tudors

I have the burgundy and the blue. Will soon have black. It's probably been said before, but if these said Rolex on the dial, it would prob. be their best selling model.

After having it on and off a few times I would suggest specifying smaller holes when you order it. We sent him a BB and the deployant clasp to custom make the strap so it fits perfectly. The only issue is that the pin that holds the one side of the clasp on is not tight enough in the hole in the strap. Perfectly secure while wearing but does tend to pop out when it is off.

For me, it depends what else I had in my collection. I prefer the original red Black Bay because it is so unique and adds something a bit different to my collection. If it was my only watch, I would probably choose the blue.
