I think a few people fell into the 'big watch' fad, now that's abating people are starting to realise 36mm-41mm is the perfect size for watches.

Icon12 Nice watch but are you sure it's a R serial??

If it's a R serial it should have the floating Cosmo line. Also with the earlier bezel ....

Sorry. But that's relatively silly. It was never a fad, and it's not going anywhere.

And who cares what other people think? Why even bring it up?

Wear what you like, without worrying about others, and you will enjoy your own stuff that much more.

The "perfect" size for a watch will always be relative to the wearer, and what they like. This, will always be based on a number of factors.

My opinion that's all.....a lot of people who previously dismissed a Daytona as too smal are now buying the Daytona and thinking the size is perfect .... Possibly such as the OP....he stated he was a 'Daytona naysayer' which could be for the reason I have stated.

Fair enough.

Personally, that makes a lot more sense to me than starting the "big watches" are a fad discussion.

The Daytona is a great watch. And personally one of my all time favorites. But there are many reasons some people might initially dismiss it. Lack of ability to read the dial, minimal lume, pcl's, no date, no need for a chrono, and potentially the relatively small size for a 40mm watch.

Once it gets tried on, many of those reasons could potentially be dismissed based on the beauty and comfort of the watch. It's a true stunner. I love just about everything about it.

Just my own personal opinion.
