I own mostly PM pieces now and I wish I could remember I was wearing them as I do have a habit of punching down on desks when my blood's up.

Well said Dan! It's only the attitudes of the owners that change a robust well engineered wrist watch into some sort of treasured piece of jewelry. It's just a watch. Wear the hell out of it and maintain it. I personally love the look of worn steel. It has it's own unique beauty.

The only time I take my Daytona off is when I am out exercise walking/jogging. And then only because my Garmin Fenix tracks and records my walks much better then my Rolex.
And yes it has a few light scratches on the clasp, but I can live with that or polish them out if they get too bad. |

I wear my watches an enjoy them.
No point in having them otherwise.

I wear mine daily, unless I am on an adventurous vacation. I work in a white collar environment so not much wear. I have also developed an instinct to put my left arm behind my back as I walk through doorways and between cars which has kept my Rolexes in pretty good shape.

First Rolex was a seadweller(2002)and that took a proper hammering,Bit more careful with the others as they cost double the price(SS models)since I bought my first.

Some people park their $200k cars in their garages...and don't drive them.
Others keep their $30k watches in their safes...and don't wear them. Not for me...but go ahead if it makes you happy... |

Watches are meant to be worn. I do care for them and are aware of my surroundings when I have them on, but don't pamper them. It is no different than your own clothes. Would a person purposely put themselves in a situation that would tear their suit? Probably not. The same mentality goes for wearing a Rolex.
