The rehault chapter ring is a separate component inserted into the case, so this type of "problem" is really common with machining tolerance. Certainly not to be considered defective.

The rehaut is a part of the case, not a single part, so the laser engraving is done at the case. I guess a fine adjustment of the
movement will give a perfect line up.

I've taken a bunch of pictures of mine. Even an angle change can change the way it appears. I think mine is ever so slightly off to the right. It's fine for me. Here's my last picture:

That's just parallax. You can see the pic is taken off centre.
Just checked my LN GMT. It's perfectly centred it seems.

This is what happens when you make a million or so timepieces a year. OC is not going to be picture perfect every single time.

misaligned engraved crown on the GmT BLnR?

I thought the other day that even Dr Toms awesome platinum Daytona was misaligned too, but it might just be the reflection. it's a fantastic picture of a fantastic watch and its a non issues for me:

Modern day Rolex purchasers drop 10K for stainless and 30-40k for PM now, so they have a lot more room to only accept perfection.

It would bug the hell out of me that I got a watch with less attention to detail than the other ones on the shelf. See if RSC has a a solution and let us know.

If something is an issue only if I use a loupe, then my thought is to put the loupe away.

As far as poor quality control...maybe, but first someone would need to prove that there is a factory spec that the crown is supposed to line up perfectly...and while I see a lot of opinions, I don't see any proof. A good lawyer friend of mine says that a fact is something you can prove in a court of law, and everything else is an opinion.

Personally this would bug me.

I once bought a seiko solar diver chronograph and after a day I noticed the chronograph hand was a whisker off of centre. Everytime I looked at the time it grabbed my attention. I took it back and got a refund.

Why is the rehaut on the left side of the crown spelling " R O E L X" instead of "R O L E X"?

I would never think to look for something like this. I just wear my watches and don't worry about them.

Just means the mech was not aligned properly when it was inserted (or not tightened fully). A good watchsmith can easily rotate the mech the fraction needed to line it all up again
