Has anyone seen Les Artisans De Genéve Tribute to the "Big Red" 6263 Daytona?

I just saw this on A Blog To Watch and wonder what the forum members make of this Tribute to the legendary Daytona 6263

JJ:

Don't feel bad; it was luck of the draw that I saw it first....you still have a good eye for cool watches!

Don't feel bad. I've been here for 9 years and I've only been first at breaking news only once.

A bit like Singer

Beautiful reworking of the classics. Singer does it exceptionally well for the 911 and this seems to be going down the same track. It's a big premium over a standard new Daytona but I think for some it could be worth it.

If you like that route it might be worth looking at a Tudor "Big Block" Chrono, or a Mitsukoshi dialed Omega Speedmaster.

I think they look great, but there's a part of me that feels it's not a "real" Rolex, if that makes sense.

For those who don't follow sports cars, "Singer" is not a dial maker; he is the guy reknown for his upgraded/tuned vintage Porsche 911's.

I have seen some videos of his work, and they are awesome. Porsche "purists" cringe at what he does, but hey....they are BETTER than what came from the factory....
