For Sale: TT DJ Rolex

I'm looking to sell the watch that was given to me by my father. I don't have the papers or box as those were lost. The watch is authentic as I just got it back from the RSC. My father indicated the watch is from the late 80's or early 90's. Asking $3,000. I'll ship USPS fully insured. I'll accept bank wire, cashiers check or cash.

The RSC removed all the scratches and has the watch looking brand new.

The watch wasn't worn all that much as the bracelet is in good condition.

Please PM me for additional information.

Thanks,

John

The serial number on the watch is R6xxxxx which dates the watch to 1987-1988. The bracelet on the watch is the original bracelet. I did not wear the watch much as it stayed in a safety deposit box for many years. Recently, I took it out to get it serviced at RSC.

So it has a 1 year warranty from the RSC?

I've lowered the selling price to $2500 or best offer. I need to sell the watch and am willing to negotiate. The watch is in very good condition as it has just been returned from the RSC.

I can't tell really clearly from the pictures, does it have a sapphire crystal or acrylic crystal? Do you know if the bracelet has all the links?

Thanks.

Can you PM your location and best price?

How much would it take to send it fully insured outside USA?

Cheers

I need to make a correction to my post on the sale of the watch. I had posted that the watch had been sent out to an RSC for service. After further research, mostly due to what I've learned since I've been a member of TRF , I've learned the watch was serviced by my AD's in-house Rolex certified technician. This explains why I didn't get a Rolex service repair document and service box.

In any case, I apologize for the mis-leading information. The service done on the watch is very good and as stated the watch is in good condition.

I've learned a few things about my digital camera. Here are some better pictures.

The watch has a sapphire crystal. The links that are in the bracelet are all that I have. I have a 7.5" wrist and I can fit two fingers easily under the bracelet when it is on.

The date on the watch can be changed as a separate function. I can't remember what they call that. You don't have to roll through 24 hours to change one day.

John
I think they call that a "quick set" function.
