Anyone ever use deployant buckles from Panatime?
I bought a couple recently just for the heck of it. Have not put them through their paces yet.
About $35 each...you can tell the machining isn't as crisp as the OEM buckles. The brushed buckle looks pretty good... And they don't use that microscopic screw. Instead, the spring bar holding the short end of the strap screws apart. But compared to $400+ for the OEM buckle with logo... |

It will be cool to hear your thoughts on these. I have a couple of OEM straps I never wear because I can't be bothered to switch the OEM deployant from strap to strap (or buy more of OP's deployants).

Yes. That tiny screw requires a loupe and a bit o luck! Will let you know. Hopefully others can chime it. So far so good. Most OEMs do put their logo on the clasp...but I'm not really missing it here. True test it how the curved bit rides...and security of course. |

Since the buckle is really the only element exposed on these Panatime buckles, the brushed finish "looks" fine. Easier to swap out as well since that micro screw isn't part of the build. |

No they are brand new. Because there is no luxury tax at South Africa.. I bought three straps at the price of one in europe...

The Panatime buckles are what they are. I like most of what Panatime provides, but they have some parts that aren't great. I have a few of these and some work perfectly. I have seen them pop open though and also seen them be difficult to open. They are in no way a replacement for a quality high end buckle but they get the job done if you want to keep a bunch around without spending a fortune.

Yikes. Popping open is bad. Yes. There are clear differences in fit / finish compared to Panerai. Save for the brushed buckle part. |
