New or old
Hello everyone
Going to purchase another sub as I don't have one anymore. I really want a sub on a leather nato/Zulu so I was considering going for the 14060M as I've found new old 2010 stock. The cost is close to ceramic but do I go for old(new) or new ceramic? Images would also be great if you have either of the dateless subs on leather? |

Not a NATO but my 14060 usually lives on leather. Love the older model for the vintage look and the lug holes for strap changes

For me old. Purely down to the taper of lugs; be it nato, leather, rubber or its own bracelet for that matter!!

If the cost is similar to ceramic i would get the ceramic and you can sell the sub c bracelet if you really dont want it for a chunk of money. People really go after that glide lock clasp if only to put it on other models like the GMT

5 digits fit natos or leather better IMHO. much narrower lugs to match the 20mm straps.

I would go 14060m, but not NOS if it means a massive hit on resale value.

5 digits on leather is unbeatable, because of comfort and versatility.
Canvas strap looks amazing as well. 2 liner is cleanest and that's the one I'll go with. Caution that Nato scratches caseback, make sure to tape it up by gaffer (cloth - no marks) tape.

love my 'm' and only by chance did I acquire it, much the same way as you, NOS back in 2013, before I was aware of the cult surrounding the non ceramic models as well as the no date devotees. Anyhow, I'm glad I've got this model, surely you will find a nice one to your liking.

What should I be paying for say a 2010 sub still with all seals in place?

As much as I am an advocate of 5 digit Rolex: The ceramic submariners looks really good on a nato, the wide lugs gets toned downed somehow.

As with all things Rolex, price and condition contribute a lot in decision making. Looks nice although I'd like to have the bracelet as well you might miss it in the future. I wear my 14060 on a lot of straps but really like being able to wear in on a bracelet as well. The Sub looks great, btw. |

The lugs get slimmed down? I didn't think so. So thrilled with this: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
