I say sell your Explorer or dont, then buy a twotone since full gold is too much... Why hide behind it, embrace the dark side... I mean Rolex

I have a job were over the past year I have seen more than 20,000 people. I scan EVERYONE'S wrist and I have counted less than 20 watches of importance. Only ONCE did one of those 20 actually know which watch he had (Deepsea). All the others didn't even understand the importance. I wear quite expensive watches all the time and more than one and no one has ever noticed... I dream of one day meeting a fellow WIS in real life.

Some men notice my watch, especially when I have my Sub on but no one really looks twice. Mind you at work, at the bedside, I wear a ladies size Seamaster
Oddly, I get the most snide comments from my smoking co-workers. My response to them: stop smoking & in a year they can have a nice watch too. |

IN MY OPINION the huge mistake was the Facebook post. I'd never ever ever post about my Rolex on there because it WILL harbor ill feelings and jealousy, and maybe even thieves when you're out of town.. So I think that was probably a part of the sharpness of your coworkers. I think it's also about the way you carry yourself and wear the watch. If you're humble and pick your words right, almost always people like your coworkers will end up being the ones feeling wrong.

Sounds like you work in a circus with a bunch of clowns. I'd tell them where to go, shut up and get lost.

I get the same crap from people because I own a home. Especially from the guy I work directly with. We make similar money, but he's always struggling. Why? Cause he's spend it on stupid things he doesn't need. My wife and I worked hard, saved up, and bought a house. He didn't. Tough beans.

3 different people at work have asked me a similar question over the years:
Each one smiled, looked at the ground shaking their head and walked away. I'm none the worse for wear. Honesty is the best policy. With that said, I have zero co-workers with access to my social networks, like Facebook. Actually I have pulled off all personal info from them beyond my name and am thinking of closing all my social accounts, as I don't really have that addiction... more a forum kind of guy. |

Social media is definitely a double-edged sword. My wife is a teacher, and the first thing students' parents do is check the Facebook account of their kid's teacher. Images of sipping a margarita in Cozumel is NOT what they want to see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I see you only need over 20,000 posts to make political comments. I'll get busy.
