Think it really depends... I had the 15202 and the 15400 on at the dealer and both the salesperson and my Wife thought the jumbo wore too small and the the 400 was just right.... My wrist is just under 7.75....

Yes and they change, I use to not like any roo or RM, now it's thz contrary I live a few, not all of course but many. To OP did you try IRL some roo's? You shiuld, of course if you are not a big sports watch fan no use, but since you like Rolex I guess you are in a way, Rolex doesn't do anything for me, and i had 5, daytona, batman, hulk and sub c ln, sold them and don't regret one second, roo is such a different dimension, I adore my ceramic diver from AP, awesome watch and so comfortable it's hard to believe for a watch that size |

You seem to want a fight, but I'm afraid I don't come to forums for that!
Seriously, I'm sorry if my opinion has offended you and certainly regret some of the more tongue-in-cheek language I used in my first post if it has. It is just an opinion though! I don't care if somebody finds my 15400 boring and I'd hope that others feel the same about my dislike of the Offshore! The point of my post genuinely wasn't to abuse a particular watch or line, or offend the owners thereof - I really do find AP unusual in that I love the brand, but very few of their products! It's difficult for me to find parallels in other brands or industries. I'm a car nut for example - I'm not a fan of BMW, but do absolutely love the M3 CSL. I'm a huge Ferrari fan, hate the current California, but love the rest of their current range. But I can't think of a car brand I really like yet actively dislike most of what they produce! I hope that somewhat clarifies my point, but can see it probably doesn't! Anyway, I'm really sorry if I've upset anybody ... watches are fun and there to make us happy, if they do, job done |

Give yourself some time. I really didn't like them at first either, but the more APs I look at, I notice my tastes changing. I'd even love to get my hands on a Millenary!

I look at collecting as a path. When I began I loved only rolex. Then after time I learned about history and craftsmanship of many other brands and as I grew so did/Does my collection. Who knows what the future will hold for each of our collections. Beautiful 15400

I feel the same for most brands except Grand Seiko where I like a LOT of their models. But for AP it's the royal oak for me, for Rolex i like the Sub and the Milgauss.
JLC has quite a few different watches that are pretty awesome though. |

Sure, my (strange, I know) point though is that I'd go as far as to call AP my favourite brand, even though I like very few of their watches!

You are not alone in your thinking. Many people criticize AP for being RO and not much else. Sure it is their bread and butter much like apple and the iphone but it is because so many people LOVE the RO.
Ironically I found my 15400 to be much more "bling" than my Diver. A royal oak bracelet shimmers. |
