New To Me: 79090 Tudor Sub

Picked this Tudor Sub up today from Mike McGandy at the NAWCC show in Ventura. Very happy with it so far. Love to hear thoughts from other 79090 owners. This one is a 300xxx serial and is without bracelet.

There were a 5 or 6 dealers there with good Rolex and Tudor. Seemed to be lots of Omega around this show as well. It was an hour's drive from where I live in LA and worth it. I was a little bummed that the exhibitors were all packing up by noon (last day) but I got to see what I needed. There were quite a few clock exhibitors there as well - not my thing but cool to see nonetheless.

Nice

Sounds like a good day. Going to Nawcc is the most fun when you bring home a vintage piece - Enjoy

One thing I did notice is that the show was about 1/2 the size of the old Pasadena show.

I love the Tudor Submariners. My wife hast the mini-sub, my son has the 75190 and I have the 79090 blue and 76100 black.
Nothing but love for the brand and excellent value!

Very nice example. I have a 4 mil serial from '90ish on a 9315 and I absolutely love it. Gets a lot of wrist time.

I've had mine (310xxx) for a little over a year and it is in my three-watch rotation, the others being 79170 and 79180 chronos. I like the Sub because it is a dead-ringer for a 1680 and unlike the chronos is very easy to read. It amuses me that Rolex made a Tudor that so closely resembles one of their most prized models, even giving it the same name, which is something they don't do anymore.

Simply the best value in the Rolex/Tudor universe. I always keep at least one around.
Incredible that you never have to worry about it... Such a tank!
Yours looks great!

Beautiful Tudors - I am now looking for a faded insert for it. This one is perfect, but I would like the faded gray color.
